Another Brinley Hawkins

Edwards – Shaw
Michael and Ann Shaw of Irvine announced the marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Ann, to Erik Edwards of Berkeley. The ceremony was May 2 at the Alta Mira Hotel in Sausalito with Judge Stephen Manley presiding.
The groom is the son of Eva Marie Edwards of Sweden and San Jose and Dale Edwards of San Diego.
The bride's two sisters were maids of honor, Jennifer Shaw of San Clemente and Rebecca Shaw of New York City.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Fonken, Jessica Johnson, Julianne Harrison and Bianca Bussey, all friends of the bride, as well as the groom's sister, Shika Sinclair. Brinley Hawkins, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.
Justin Hiraki, a childhood friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included friends Robert Cogan, John Makevich, Jason Van Norman and Zachary Tigue, as well as the groom's cousin, Emmanuel Akerlind of Sweden, and the bride's brother, David Shaw.
The bride wore a classic antique silk satin gown and carried a bouquet of gardenias, white roses and greenery hand-tied by her cousin, Stephanie Hawkins.
The bride attended Irvine schools and graduated from University High School in 1994. The groom attended Santa Teresa High School in San Jose and also graduated in 1994.
The couple met at the University of California, San Diego, where the bride received her bachelor's degree in physiology and neuroscience. She received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Touro University in Vallejo and is a first-year pediatrics resident at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland.
The groom received his bachelor's degree in neuroscience and cognitive science and is completing his doctorate in behavioral psychology at University of California Berkeley.
The couple honeymooned in Europe and now make their home in Berkeley.
