his service went out of business years ago.
My wife and I were the sole proprietor of Transatlantic Penfriends, operating out of our dining-room-corner-turned-home-office on Fort MacArthur, San Pedro, L.A., Calif. We stopped around 2001/02 when advertising and postage costs became too much and e-mail and internet matchmaking became quite popular, and because we had moved household. We really miss the many unsolicited testimonials. Many said they were getting married or had just married! (we were just pen-pal matchmakers, not a dating service). Cheers.
